This qualification covers the understanding of the principles and practices involved in internal quality assurance. Participants will gain insights into planning and carrying out the internal quality assurance of assessments, employing various techniques and criteria for monitoring, maintaining and enhancing the quality of assessment.
Learners will acquire skills necessary for ensuring the quality of assessment within a training centre or organisation. This includes planning and evaluating the quality of assessment, upholding and enhancing it, and managing information essential to the internal quality assurance process. Additionally, it emphasises maintaining compliance with legal and best practice standards in the internal monitoring and improvement of assessment quality. Practical assessment of learners will occur in the workplace, with simulations not allowed.
